meldCX Chrome OS agentM Release: 26 May 2022

This release was rolled out in stages between 26 May 2022 and 3 June 2022.

This agentM version is compatible with ChromeOS version 96. Your devices will be updated to ChromeOS version 96, along with our new agentM version 2.6.0.0.639.

What is the focus of this release?

This release delivers an upgrade to ChromeOS v96, downloadable offline log files, and various improvements in internal components.

In response to customer feedback we added a feature which allows meldCX Cloud Console users download device log files even after device was offline for some time. The log files available for download include both system logs and application logs and have customisable auto-cleanup configuration.

As a result of this release, ChromeOS devices will automatically upgrade to ChromeOS v96 during their daily reboot cycle. This process is fully autonomous and only requires a standard recommended configuration of the daily reboot schedule.

We added new APIs which give your application access to our Analytics platform and various new peripheral devices. Even if CDM integration is not enabled in your account, your devices will automatically synchronise their Serial Number and Asset ID which adds additional visibility and search options.
