Remote ChromeOS device recovery feature
- It is now possible to recover meldCX-hosted ChromeOS devices remotely if they cannot load meldCX agentM for Chrome during their startup or have other similar issues. This process works by utilising Chrome Enterprise API and requires the Chrome Enterprise integration to be enabled in the account settings.
- The remote recovery process can be initiated for an applicable ChromeOS device by navigating to the device Diagnostics Tab which will have a "Recovery" section. Please note that this section will not be available if the Chrome Enterprise integration is not enabled
- The recovery process will be started after clicking a "Start device recovery" button in the device "Recovery" section, typing "CONTINUE" in a confirmation dialog window and clicking a "Start device recovery" button again in the confirmation dialog window.
- Once the device recovery process is started, the "Recovery" section will change its contents to indicate that the recovery process is currently in progress
- It is possible to cancel the recovery process before it is completed by clicking a "Cancel device recovery" button in the device "Recovery" section, typing "CONTINUE" in a confirmation dialog window and clicking a "Cancel device recovery" button again in the confirmation dialog window.
- Once the recovery process is completed or cancelled, the "Recovery" section will return back to the initial state
Improvements in the application usage stats component
- The application usage stats component now shows a correct number of devices which have the selected application installed
