This upgrade went live between 1:00am & 3:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), Tuesday 6 November 2018.
Why are we upgrading infrastructure?
As meldCX grows, and our clientele continue to manage more & more devices in the cloud, it's important to further improve the stability and scalability of our cloud-based products.
Furthermore, this upgrade will enable us to increase our cadence of updates, essentially to deliver features, updates, and bug fixes more frequently.

In effect - we are reducing the number of IPs required to whitelist for device to meld-cloud connections.

Do I need to do anything?
We've worked hard to minimise the impact of these server-side upgrades.
For clarity, please note that:
- the existing IP address for api.meld.cx will remain the same, the server will be behind the load balancer, and the load balancer will have this IP address assigned to it;
- the socket.meld.cx and admin.meld.cx will share the load balancer with api.meld.cx and will start using the same IP address as we are now using for api.meld.cx;= and
- the existing IP addresses for socket.meld.cx and admin.meld.cx will be deprecated.
Please see the Network Setup & Whitelisting knowledge base article for further details.
Will this impact my billing?
Not at all. Your meldCX subscription includes all software updates.
